Needles and Friends

Needles and Friends is the main quilt guild for Cache Valley, meeting at the Hyde Park City Building on the second Tuesday of each month at ten in the morning, with a workshop on the fourth Tuesday.

What happens at a meeting is the usual good stuff: show and share, round robins, friendship blocks, secret scraps, and a charity quilt on the go. The membership spans from women in their twenties to women in their eighties, which is unusual and says a good deal about how easy it is to walk in not knowing anyone.

For anyone who has recently moved to Logan — students, new arrivals at the university, families relocating — this is the most straightforward route into the local quilting world.

The guild meets a few minutes from ADORNit in Hyde Park, and Logan has four more shops just south, including Stylish Fabrics, trading since 1958, and Huckleberry Moose for handwork. See Cache County.
