A town with a livelier quilting community than its size suggests — home to the Cedar Chest Quilters' Guild, and an hour up the road from St. George's five shops.

Quilting in Cedar City
Cedar City is the largest town between St. George and Richfield, and there’s more quilting going on here than a place this size would suggest — the Cedar Chest Quilters’ Guild is based in town and runs retreats as well as regular meetings, which is often the best way into a local community if you’ve recently moved.
The Quilter’s Cache on North Main is the shop we can confirm. We haven’t managed to verify current hours or a phone number, so please check before making a special trip.
We suspect Cedar City has more shops than we currently list. Older directories mention several others in town that we haven’t been able to confirm are still trading. Rather than publish listings we can’t stand behind, we’ve left them out — but if you know what’s currently open here, a correction would be genuinely useful.
Nearby
St. George is about an hour south on I-15 and has five shops, plus Clover Patch in Santa Clara — well worth the drive. Cedar City is also the gateway to Cedar Breaks and Brian Head. See Iron County.
The local guild
Often the quickest way to meet other quilters — and to hear about retreats and workshops that never get advertised.
