About Mountain MERMade

Mountain MERMade is the newest retreat in Utah, opened in November 2025 in a restored 1905 home on Heber City’s Main Street. The boutique occupies the ground floor; the retreat sits above it.

There are two large sewing rooms, fitted with mechanical desks that raise and lower so you can sit or stand as the day goes on. That sounds like a small thing and isn’t — anyone who has spent three days hunched at a fixed-height table will tell you it’s the difference between finishing a retreat and enduring one.

The name is a play on the idea behind the place: Mental Emotional Release meeting handmade. Groups tend to book the whole thing together, and what they talk about afterwards is the hosting rather than the fabric — the sense of someone having thought carefully about every small comfort in advance.

Heber Valley is the other argument. The shop sits between Park City and the Uinta backcountry, so a retreat here can easily include a drive, a walk, or the Heber Valley Railroad for anyone who fancies a break from the machine.

There's a fabric shop on site — see Mountain MERMade for what it stocks and its opening hours.
