About Utah Quilt Guild
The Utah Quilt Guild is the organization the local guilds hang off. It’s divided into geographic Areas, and those Areas into Chapters, most of which meet monthly in their own towns. A few chapters reach beyond the state line into Idaho and Wyoming.
The centerpiece is the annual meeting each fall — a judged quilt show, a merchants’ mall, and classes and lectures from both local and visiting teachers. For a lot of members that weekend is the fixed point of the quilting year.
Membership runs at around twenty dollars a year, on a April-to-March cycle, which is modest for what it opens up: chapter meetings, the annual show, and a route into whichever local group is nearest you.
It’s also worth knowing that the guild maintains a shop list covering fabric and quilting shops across Utah and nearby Idaho. That list is one of the sources behind this directory — we’ve used it as a starting point and then checked shops individually, because parts of it have aged. Any shop page here marked as carrying guild-sourced details is flagged as such.
If you’re looking for the group nearest you, the full list of guilds is sorted by town.
